Plastic Bag Bans

In some countries governments have been urged to ban plastic bags altogether. This is a very bad idea.

Scientists and environmentalists have attacked a global campaign to tax plastic bags which they say is based on flawed science and exaggerated claims.

An attempt to tax plastic bags was defeated by the citizens of Seattle, USA on 18th August 2009. In Delhi, India, an attempt to ban plastic bags is simply being ignored by the citizens.
